Its a shame that he didn’t get as much credit in the mainstream audience like some other editors, for doing so much for pushing and developing american cooking into a respected cuisine, but in the brief 5 min that I met him through an old friend they were helping out, you could tell that credit or fame was not what they were looking for. Extremely genuine people all around.

Absolute gentleman!
A class apart from the entire industry, his warmth and generosity of spirit will be sorely missed.
Are there any rumblings about scholarship or honorary programs set up in his memory?
